A novel Monte Carlo scheme was proposed for the study of the long-term dynamics of a 2-dimensional hard-sphere fluid that was modelled as a tethered network of hard spheres. Fluidity was simulated by breaking and reattachment of the flexible tethers. The diffusion of a tagged particle was studied, and it was shown that the velocity auto-correlation function had a t-1 tail at long times. The scheme could handle particles which interacted via a softer pair potential.
