Measurements of O transport and O surface reaction were performed on La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3 by using conductivity relaxation techniques. The results were compared with tracer diffusion coefficients and with surface exchange coefficients for the same material. A change in O stoichiometry with temperature and O partial pressure was demonstrated. The values which were derived from the experiments were used to calculate the theoretical O fluxes, and close agreement was found with actual O fluxes which had been found for permeation through a dense sample; using a modified Wagner model.
