A method was proposed for the determination of the components of the Frank vector of disclinations in the triple junctions of real polycrystalline aggregates. By using this method, it was found that real polycrystals contained junction disclinations whose nature was related to their thermo-mechanical history. It was noted that one factor in the evolution of the network of initial junction disclinations was the formation of disclination dipole configurations in the adjacent triple junctions. The effect of the types of boundary which formed the junctions, upon the magnitude of the junction disclination Frank vector, was analyzed.
