Diffusion doping with Au was found to cause an increase, in the lattice parameter, of about 0.2%. This effect was attributed to the replacement of Cu ions by Au ions, and was used to estimate the diffusion parameters. It was shown that the diffusion coefficient of Au, at temperatures ranging from 500 to 870C, varied from 10-11 to 6 x 10-10cm2/s; with an associated activation energy of about 0.85eV.
