It was pointed out that the application of electrochemical H permeation techniques could aid the understanding of the mechanisms which were involved in permeation in this metal. The surface phenomena could be controlled, and stationary conditions obtained. The validity of the boundary conditions during galvanostatic charging were confirmed, and the H efficiency was determined. The concentration gradient, and the amount of H which was found in a sample under stationary conditions, were determined.
