On the basis of relaxation mode theory, a relaxation function was considered which expressed the time dependence of hopping conduction in a many-ion system on a regular lattice with a screened Coulomb interaction. It was shown that hyperbolic and stretched-exponential relaxations governed non-Debye behavior in the low-temperature short-term region and in the high-temperature long-term region, respectively.
