The morphology of (01•2) twins was studied. It was found that the twin boundaries usually comprised 3 types of interface. These were straight parts which were parallel to the Kl (01•2) composition plane, growing parts which involved a series of geometrically well-defined steps that were separated by (01•2) boundary portions, and the tip -which was shown to adopt a {01•2}-type plane that was perpendicular to Kl. The defects which were associated with these 3 types of boundary were analyzed. Particular attention was paid to the twinning dislocations which were found in the growing parts, and to the dislocation configuration of the twin front.
