The structures and conductivities of the perovskites, La1.33-xLi3xTi2O6, where x was 0.29, 0.21 or 0.09 were determined. The phases were tetragonal (P4/mmm, a = 0.387, c = 0.778nm), and X-ray diffraction data were analyzed by using the Rietveld method. An interesting feature was that the cation vacancies were concentrated on alternating A-planes of the structure. The cation mobility therefore seemed to be due to a 2-dimensional mechanism on such planes. The electrical properties were measured by using alternating-current techniques, and higher conductivity results were obtained for the intermediate composition of x = 0.21. The activation energies in the 3 phases were quite similar.
