The electrical conductivity (figure 3) and O permeability of solid solutions were measured as functions of the temperature and O partial pressure. A model was proposed for the O flow density, through the mixed conductors, that was caused by the chemical potential gradient. Values were calculated for the partial oxide ionic conductivity. It was found that the O permeability decreased in the order: La > Pr > Nd.
