An investigation was made of the possibility of measuring electron paramagnetic resonance via electrical detection by monitoring microwave- or radio-frequency induced changes in the photoconductivity of various bulk samples which contained shallow and deep-level defects. It was found that electron-hole recombination via a donor (D0) - acceptor (A0) pair explained the observations, and might be necessary if electron paramagnetic resonance via electrical detection was to be possible.
