The interdiffusivities were deduced from compositional variations which were measured across the couple interface by means of analytical electron microscopy and electron probe microanalysis. The Sauer-Freise and Boltzmann-Matano techniques were used to determine the interdiffusivities in the Ni-based solid solution and the ordered intermetallic phase. It was shown that the present results (figure 6) were consistent with previous data which had been obtained from Ni/Ni3Al diffusion couples.
