A model was proposed which dealt with repulsive interactions, and which permitted the analysis of diffusion in adsorbates which were undergoing order-disorder phase transformations. By using a generalization of the local random mean-field method, an explicit expression was derived for the diffusion coefficient and its behavior was analyzed under conditions where the thermodynamic parameters, adsorbate concentration and temperature were varied within a physically relevant part of parameter space.
