Measurements of the complex ionic conductivity of bioactive glass ceramics and related materials at frequencies of between 0.1Hz and 500MHz, and temperatures of between 10 and 600K, were reported. It was found that, depending upon the frequency and temperature, the data revealed the occurrence of blocking-electrode effects, low-frequency dispersion, hopping conduction and relaxation processes.
