The Li ion conductivity of xLiTaO3-(1-x)SrTiO3 perovskite-type solid solutions, where x ranged from 0.30 to 0.50, was investigated. The highest ionic conductivity (0.00055S/cm at 300K) was found for an x-value of 0.50. The ionic conductivity decreased with decreasing x-value, and then rapidly decreased in the vicinity of x = 0.30. It was pointed out that this threshold for the ionic conductivity was the same as the site percolation threshold for a simple cubic lattice. This suggested that Li ion conduction occurred 3-dimensionally among the A-sites of the perovskite structure.
