The layers of a PbS/Pb1-xCaxS multi-quantum well structure, where x was approximately equal to 0.06 or 0.12, were grown by means of hot-wall epitaxy. The interdiffusion coefficient of Ca was determined by optimizing the observed X-ray diffraction data by using simulation techniques. The interdiffusion coefficient of Ca at 743K was estimated, to within a factor of 2, to be equal to 3 x 10-22m2/s.
