The temperature dependence of the local mode absorption of CAs at 580/cm was re-examined by using high-resolution Fourier transform spectroscopic techniques. A new C-related line was detected, at room temperature, on the low-energy side of the main C peak at 576.6/cm. The integrated absorption of the whole band was independent of temperature at temperatures ranging from 77 to 300K. Calibration factors were provided for 77 and 300K, and provided a consistent interpretation of published data.
