The total conductivity and transference numbers of the -phase were measured as a function of temperature and composition (figure 2). It was suggested that both Ag+ and Cu+ were mobile, in that the activation energies for these ions were almost the same and their transference numbers deviated from the ideal values. It was concluded that the mobile ions followed the same conducting path, although the amplitudes of their anharmonic thermal vibrations were different.
