Internal friction measurements were carried out in order to study the mobility of Li. Coherent ' precipitation (a non-equilibrium diffusion process) promoted a low temperature background increase according to Schoeck’s theory. A stable Pz relaxation was observed at about 460K and about 1Hz. An analysis of the behavior of this relaxation permitted the Pz peak to be attributed to a Zener relaxation that was associated with stress-induced Li-Li pair reorientation.
