The transport of H isotopes in various metals was studied by using computer analyses. It was deduced that the solute inventory was usually small when compared with the trapped fraction. Stainless steel was an exception. Steady-state conditions were not expected to be reached in most of the materials for some 260000h. In this respect, the exceptions were V, stainless steel and MANET. The degree of T permeation was high in V, and was low in Mo, stainless steel and MANET.
