The dynamics of a model for the formation of a dislocation structure were studied. It was proposed that the coalescence of interstitial atoms led to the formation of dislocation loops. Those loops then grew via the precipitation of interstitial atoms. Interaction between the loops led to their motion deeper into the material; where the loops created a fully developed dislocation structure.
