Such transport was considered for H-bonded chains with asymmetrical double-minimum potentials for protons. The transport was described in terms of kink-soliton propagation in an energetically asymmetrical double-well potential. Asymmetry could be caused by spontaneous polarization in H-bonded ferroelectrics, medium polarization in non-ferroelectric H-bonded solids, by the crystallographic structure, by the geometry of the proton neighborhood or by an internal electric field. The soliton dynamics of the system were studied analytically, and account was taken of the effect of a constant external electric field and of a damping mechanism. The velocity, energy, momentum and mobility of kinks were calculated.
