The thermoluminescence of ultraviolet- (250nm) and X-irradiated Eu2+-doped material was investigated. It was found that the peaks were located in the same positions, regardless of the radiation which was used to treat the sample, and that differences were seen only in the peak intensity ratios. Thermal and optical bleaching methods permitted thermoluminescence peaks which were located in the low-temperature regime (320 to 425K), and those which were present in a higher-temperature regime (425 to 530K), to be attributed to F centers.
