The temperature dependence of the ionic mobility in a Ag ion conducting borate glass (AgI-22.25Ag2O-22.75mol%B2O3) was studied, together with the conductivity, and the number of mobile carriers was calculated. The latter value was found to decrease with increasing temperature. Two types of ion association mechanism (self-association and network association) were proposed in order to explain the results.
