Highly In-doped and Na-doped crystals were grown here for the first time. The infra-red spectra showed that the OH- absorption bands of material which was doped with 1 to 3mol%In and 1 to 3mol%Na were located at about 3484/cm; as in the case of the pure substance. In samples which contained 5mol%In, it shifted to 3508/cm, and comprised 3 components. The 3508/cm band, which appeared when the dopant concentration of In was above a threshold value, was attributed to OH- stretching vibrations in OH--(InNb)2- complexes.
