An X-ray structural analysis was made of the crystal structure of perovskite monocrystals which served as substrates for epitaxial films. The possibility of depositing Cu3Ba2YO7 epitaxial films onto the {110} planes of the present crystal was analyzed on the basis of the structural data. The types of twinning in the present material were established, and the twinning structure of these substrates was found to be stable at temperatures of up to 1173K. It was suggested that twinning in the present substrates, with an orientation of {001}-type, could result in the creation of 90° twin bonds in a film. In the case of {110}-oriented plates, it was possible to ignore the presence of twinning in the substrate completely.
