Direct evidence of a relationship between {20¯1}B19 twinning in deformed martensite and {114}B2 twinning in the parent phase, following reverse transformation in Ti-Ni alloy, was obtained by means of conventional and high-resolution electron microscopy. The results were analyzed in terms of the orientation relationship between the martensite and parent phases, and the magnitude of the twinning shear for both twinning processes.
