The diffusion of O on the (110) surface at coverages of up to 1/8, and temperatures of 600, 800, 1000 or 1200K, was studied. In particular, the energy width of the coherent dynamic structure factor and the chemical diffusion coefficient were calculated by using the Mori projection operator technique and neglecting memory effects. It was found that the energy width exhibited a relative minimum at the border of the first Brillouin zone, in the direction: (1,1/2).
