The interaction of quantum defects with surface phonon and electron states was considered, and the temperature dependence of the quantum diffusion coefficient at the crystal surface was found. The possibility of the occurrence of bound states at the crystal surface, resulting in important changes in the macroscopic diffusion coefficient, was examined.
