The elastic energy per unit surface which was associated with a non-regular hexagonal network of misfit dislocations lying along a planar interface was expressed analytically for any 2 anisotropic crystals. This expression generalized recent results which were valid only for a regular hexagonal network of dislocations with the same type of Burgers vector. It took account of the specific cut radius which was associated with each dislocation segment. It was applied to a dislocation network which had been observed at Cu/Fe interfaces.
