Dislocation-He interactions during the isochronal annealing of high-energy He-implanted samples were studied by using positron annihilation techniques. Although He was strongly trapped by the dislocations, the binding did not appear to be strong enough to delay the annealing stages appreciably. The nucleation of He bubbles was delayed, but the He atoms did not keep the dislocations stable against annealing. An estimation of the He bubble parameters was carried out which took account of the expansion of the lattice during annealing. As expected, the bubble pressure was higher than it was at room temperature. A polynomial relationship was obtained between the He melting temperature and the He atom density.
