The diffusion of 63Ni in single icosahedral Al70Pd21Mn9 was measured by using radioactive tracer methods. The volume diffusion coefficients could be described by an Arrhenius equation. The activation enthalpy for Ni diffusion was 209.0kJ/mol. A diffusion mechanism involving vacancies was suggested to operate.
