The time-domain interferometry of synchrotron radiation technique was here extended to ordered structures. In the case of time-domain interferometry which was applied to the present B2-type alloy, there was no detectable quasi-elastic signal. Experimental lower limits were set on the elastic contribution, and these were in accord with a proposed coherent scattering function. The results indicated that time-domain interferometry could be applied to the study of diffusion in intermetallic alloys by using diffuse scattering.
