The intrinsic diffusivities in a multi-component random alloy were considered in terms of the ratios of atom-vacancy exchange frequencies. By using the exact Moleko-Allnatt sum rule, which related phenomenological coefficients in the multi-component random alloy, an exact relationship was found between the intrinsic diffusivities and the ratios of the exchange frequencies. This was demonstrated by considering binary and ternary random alloys. It was shown that the new relationship would be sufficiently robust for application to multi-component alloys which exhibited non-ideality.
