A disclination structural model was suggested for treating quasi-periodic tilt grain boundaries of finite length in polycrystalline and nanocrystalline materials. The model was demonstrated by calculating the stress fields and energies of some quasi-periodic tilt grain boundaries of finite length. The results of calculations of the energy characteristics were compared with experimental data and with analogous results which had been obtained by using the dislocation structural model. The disclination description was shown to be more efficient for treating tilt boundaries in nanocrystalline materials.
