Dislocation kinetics were investigated in face-centered cubic crystals which were deformed under conditions of constant excess stress, constant applied deforming stress or constant load. It was shown that there were 2 stationary states of dislocation density. The domain between these 2 stationary states corresponded to a dynamic softening of the deforming crystal. The last region corresponded to strain hardening.
