The behaviour of vacancy wind factors in the intrinsic diffusivities, and chemical or interdiffusivities, in highly ordered stoichiometric AB intermetallic compounds was examined. It was shown that the 6-jump cycle gave quite different limits for these factors, from those given by the Manning expressions. There was even a non-trivial behaviour of these factors when the vacancy flux was equal to zero. The findings were verified by computer simulation of a 4-frequency model for a square planar lattice, and an Ising model for the B2 structure.
