The survival probability, P, of a random walk of t steps among static traps with a concentration, C, was studied in 2 and 3 dimensions by using a Monte Carlo method which was based upon a mapping onto a polymer model. On the basis of previous theoretical work, a data collapse was expected for -ln[P]/ln[t] when plotted versus √(λt)/ln[t] in 2 dimensions, and for -t-⅓ln[P] versus tλ in 3 dimensions; where λ = -ln[(1-C)]. These predictions were supported by the Monte Carlo results.
