The spin-lattice relaxation time of 7Li, and conductivity spectra, were measured in order to investigate conduction in the A-site deficient perovskite solid solutions, α- and β-La0.56Li0.33TiO3, as a function of the order parameter of the alternating arrangement of La3+-rich and (Li+ vacancy)-rich layers. The temperature dependence of the correlation time indicated that the uniformity of the Li-sites decreased with increasing order parameter. In spite of a large difference in the order parameters, the conductivity spectra were similar. A similar power-law dependence, with a single power-exponent of about 1.3, implied the presence of unfavorable A-sites that hardly contributed to the direct-current conductivity.
