A manometric method was described for the determination of chemical diffusion coefficients from the gas/solid equilibration kinetics of materials of this form. The equilibration kinetics were monitored by measuring O partial pressure changes, during reactions between O and the material, which involved both oxidation and reduction at 773 to 1123K. The chemical diffusion coefficients, as measured by applying the present manometric method to La0.8Sr0.2MnO3, were compared with published data.
