The diffusion of Li, Cu and Ag in the crystals was investigated for various crystallographic directions by using a technique which was based upon defect drift in an electric field. A considerable diffusion anisotropy was observed for Cu and Ag. Diffusion of the former was about an order of magnitude faster perpendicular to the c-axis. Diffusion of the latter was several times slower than that parallel to the c-axis. A similar diffusional anisotropy was also found in CdSSe and ZnCdS crystals.
