A theoretical study was made of point and linear defects and their combinations in nanoscale periodic porous material composed of graphite with nanoscale periodic pores. Point and linear defects in nanoscale periodic porous graphite caused energy modes in the band gaps. Electrons which satisfied these energy modes could exist only at point and linear defects; indicating electron localization and guiding, respectively. Point defect modes were considered for point defects with various rotational symmetries, and linear defect modes were considered for 2 kinds of linear defect.
