Lithium haloborate glasses of the form, (70-y)B2O3-30BaF2-yLiX, were prepared where y was equal to 0, 5, 10, 15 or 20mol% and X was F, Cl or Br. The glass transition temperature was determined by using the differential thermal analysis technique and was explained in terms of the glass structure. Experimental and theoretical investigations were made of the direct-current conductivities of the glasses.
