The electrical conductivity and the yttria-stabilized zirconia reactivity of Y1-xSrxMnO3 (x = 0 to 0.2) were investigated. The electrical conductivities of Y1-xSrxMnO3 were between 0.003 and 12.5S/cm. It was proposed that the conductivities were affected by both Sr doping and O interstitials. For the yttria-stabilized zirconia reactivity, mixtures of Y1-xSrxMnO3 and yttria-stabilized zirconia (with 8mol% yttria) were annealed (1200C, 5h) in air. The formation of SrZrO3 and Zr3Y4O12 was determined in Y1-xSrxMnO3(x > 0)/yttria-stabilized zirconia systems. However, no reaction product was observed in the YMnO3/yttria-stabilized zirconia system.
