In the system, CuCr1-xVxS2, solid solutions which were isostructural with CuCrS2 and Cu3VS4 were found by replacing Cr by V to give x-values of up to 0.20. The CuCr1-xVxS2 solid solutions were found to exhibit mixed electronic and Cu+-cationic conductivity. The Cu cationic conductivity increased with increasing unit cell size.
