An Fe2Al5 alloy was deformed in compression at high temperatures. Below 500C, it was brittle but, above 600C, it exhibited plasticity. The thermodynamic parameters for plastic deformation were determined. The dislocation structure was observed by transmission electron microscopy and the Burgers vectors determined. It was concluded that plastic deformation of this alloy at high temperature was controlled by a Peierls mechanism.
