Thermal diffusion of Ag in Cu single crystals was investigated by using 4MeV 7Li2+ Rutherford back-scattering and Auger electron spectroscopy. The annealing of samples was carried out in vacuum at 498 to 613K. The element depth concentration profiles deduced from Rutherford back-scattering spectra indicated that the diffusion of Ag into Cu was a typical volume diffusion process.
