By the method of He thermal desorption from sub-microcrystalline Pd pre-saturated in the gaseous phase, the diffusion coefficient Deff and solubility coefficient Ceff of He were measured between 0 and 3MPa and between 293 and 508K. The pressure-dependence of Ceff flattened at high pressures. At low saturation pressures, the temperature dependences of the diffusion and solubility coefficients could be divided into (h)igh-temperature (400 to 508K) and (l)ow-temperature (293 to 400K) ranges described by the exponentials: Dh,l = D0exp[–Eh,lD/kT] and Ch,l = C0exp[–Eh,lS/kT]. The activation energies for diffusion were ElD = 0.0036eV and EhD = 0.33eV, and the solution energies were ElS = –0.025eV and EhS = 0.086eV in the low- and high-temperature ranges, respectively.
