The correlation between {20¯1}B19 twinning in the deformed martensite and {114}B2 twinning in the reverse transformed parent phase in the Ti–Ni shape memory alloy was directly demonstrated by in situ heating conventional transmission electron microscopy and high resolution electron microscopy.
