A procedure for solving the stationary electro-diffusion equations together with the Poisson equation by the method of perturbation theory was developed. It was demonstrated that the use of the Boltzmann equilibrium distribution for the zero-order

approximation of the internal solution was incorrect. A correct procedure of obtaining the zero-order approximation was developed.
