The results of a study of the Li insertion process in nanoporous C samples, obtained from carbides (SiC, TiC, Mo2C) by chlorination, were presented. The Li insertion was achieved at 30 to 200C, via vacuum deposition and diffusion. The main analytical tools used were nuclear reaction methods and X-ray diffraction. The Li diffusion coefficients within this temperature range were estimated, and a possible mechanism for Li diffusion was proposed.
